Synopsis

On July 4th in New York, a distant Chinese waiter (Brian Yang – Saving Face) crosses paths with a graceful woman (Xin Li – Paris Je T’aime) from the days of his youth. As they cautiously reconnect despite the distance that time creates, their feelings toward each other begin to resurface but are suffocated when he finds out she’s leaving the next day.

That evening as they watch the fireworks exploding in flashes of ephemeral light over the New York City skyline, they must weigh the possibility of almost certain disappointment against the regret of not taking the chance to recapture what they had lost on that same day but from over a decade before.
